Gloom in the City

As the third largest city in the U.S., Chicago has a lot to compete with when it comes to New York City and Los Angeles. The impeccable weather of LA and the fast pace of NYC, there's not much else Chicago can hold the title of. However, when it comes to architecture, Chicago definitely takes home the trophy. Everywhere-based photographer, Taylor King, kindly let Juiced use his work

The title is actually a false advertisement, at least for me. People see the grey sky and the dense fog, and they think it's a gloomy day, and the city now looks dull. However, I feel the exact opposite. The building are tall and neutral, and with the grey sky, these building pop out like a forrest that just received water for the first time in forever.

With blue skies, these buildings look weird, out of place even, like they shouldn't be there because they are disturbing the environment.

I wish people understood these architects gave a f**k about how their buildings look. They put time and effort to make sure that even though not all of them have the same style, these buildings compliment each other impeccably.

So why not look at the gloomy sky and instead see how intense the architecture is now that it doesn't have a blue sky to compete with?
